Blades on the Bend: Community Event August 16th
Blades on the Bend
South Bend, we’re throwing a party on the ice, and you’re invited.
On Sunday, August 16 from 1 to 5 PM, The Ice Box is hosting Blades on the Bend, our first ever country themed public skate. It’s an afternoon of skating, games, food, and community, and every dollar raised goes directly toward reduced cost ice sports and activities for our local community.
Here’s what’s happening all around the rink:
Country Skate ($5 admission)
Lace up for a country themed public skate. Bring the boots and bring the whole family.
Broomball
No skates required. Grab a broom and get in on the fun.
Free Shooters Shoot
Test your shot in our dryland zone. Free to play.
Silent Auction
Bid on goodies from local businesses in the lobby throughout the afternoon.
Food Trucks and Local Vendors
Great eats in the parking lot and local shopping around the rink.
B100 Live
Tune in for a live broadcast from 1 to 3 PM.
Whether you skate every week or haven’t laced up in years, this is a day to come out, support local, and have some fun with your community. We can’t wait to see you there.
